Opulent Interiors

The Hall of Mirrors is one of the most captivating spaces in the palace, designed to impress and enchant guests. It was inspired by Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors, with an Indian touch.

This room, designed for recreation and relaxation, houses two identical billiard tables, one of which is a replica of the table in Buckingham Palace.

The private Nizam’s Suite was meant to be the most luxurious part of the palace, with every element reflecting royal comfort and exclusivity.

In the Dining Hall, the world’s longest dining table is the star of the room. Designed to host up to 101 guests, this room needed to reflect the Nizam’s reputation for royal hospitality.

The Falaknuma Library is modeled after Windsor Castle’s library. Here, the design was meant to highlight the Nizams’ love for knowledge and learning, creating a sanctuary filled with over 6,000 rare books.

The Jade Room is another masterpiece that serves as a private reception area. Its decor was inspired by the Nizams’ love for jade and the subtle elegance of European salons.

The Durbar Hall, or audience chamber, is undoubtedly the most opulent room in the palace. My aim here was to create a space that exuded power and magnificence while still being functional for royal meetings and gatherings.

One of the most defining elements of the palace is the grand staircase, designed to make a powerful first impression. Crafted from the finest Italian marble, this sweeping staircase was meticulously carved to give a sense of ascending into the heavens, as if the palace is truly a “mirror of the sky.”
